SUB and Disability

Local 68 International Union of Operating Engineers and the Trustees of Local 68 have established the Supplemental Unemployment Benefit Fund as one of the benefits enjoyed by Local 68 members.

The Fund was established to provide additional peace of mind and a greater degree of security to you in a time of corporate cutbacks and layoffs and in the event that you become disabled.

Local 68 always has fought for the rights of its members and unemployment has not been a serious problem.  There are times, however, when involuntary unemployment does arise.

To help employees in such times of hardship, the Supplemental Unemployment Benefit Fund was established to provide a form of financial relieve to eligible participants in their time of need.  This Summary Plan Description sets forth an outline of the important features of the plan.  Questions regarding the Plan, Benefits, or Eligibility may be directed to the Fund Office.
