IUOE-68.ORg browser issues
please read carefully!
The old iuoe-68.org website was built in 2004 and uses a security protocol called SHA-1 for encryption. In the years that passed, SHA-1 has been improved upon and left behind so that by modern standards, is considered to be weak encryption and no longer secure. The latest updates to many modern browsers are warning you of this fact and preventing access to the old website.
As a result, we have moved all of our public information to this new website
The ONLY reason to continue to use the old website is for features that require custom data.
those features are:
Pension and Annuity Statements
Your Labor Agreement
Student LMS access
In the meantime...
The old website HAS NOT been hacked.
It is simply out of date.
Think of it like keeping an extra house key hidden under your welcome mat.
Would it be fairly easy for an intruder to find your key and gain entrance? YES.
Does it mean that it has actually happened or is likely to? NO.
Your web browser may not load the OLD site at all, giving a message saying that your connection is not secure. YOU CAN Follow the directions for your browser below to load the site anyway.
Once on the old iuoe-68.org site, your browser may nag you in the LOGIN BOX THAT "this is a bad idea". you can log in anyway.

We apologize for this inconvenience, and appreciate your patience while we make these major upgrades.
Because it still supports Adobe FLASH player, and has given the least amount of problems to our users accessing the old website, our first recommendation when using the old IUOE-68.ORG website is to use FIREFOX browser.
To access the old website:
Point your browser to www.iuoe-68.org
When you see the security warning (image above), Click the button marked ADVANCED
Click the button marked ADD EXCEPTION...
Click the button that says CONFIRM SECURITY EXCEPTION
Log into the old website as you always have.
While Chrome browser no longer supports Adobe FLASH, it does IF you install the IETab extension.
If Chrome gives you a message stating that "Your Connection is not Private", click the IETab icon to get it to load.
Alternatively, to force it to load, you can try clicking "ADVANCED" and then "Proceed to www.iuoe-68.org (unsafe)"

Microsoft has not yet disabled access, and so it should not run into the "Access denied" security issues that the other browsers raise. Microsoft has stated that they will begin to disable SHA-1 based websites sometime in 2017.
